Parish Council Information

The villages of East and West Runton are combined for local government purposes into two electoral wards,
each represented by six Parish Councillors; the current Members names are listed below. Meetings are held
on the fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of December, which is on the third Tuesday, and in
August there is no meeting. The venues alternate between the Village Hall at East Runton and the Church Hall
at West Runton . The Annual Parish Meeting also alternates between the villages.  The Parish Council office and information centre is to be found at:The Reading Room, Felbrigg Road, East Runton, Cromer, Norfolk NR27 9PE

Each meeting commences at 7.15 pm unless otherwise notified and the agenda is displayed on the Parish
Notice Boards and on this website. Members of the public are most welcome, there is an open session at
the start of the meeting when any member of the parish can address the meeting.

Our Norfolk County Councillor is Mr J Perry-Warnes, who represents all parishes in The Holt Electoral Division.

LATEST NEWS:

Allotment water supplies:  Plans are in hand to provide water supplies to West Runton allotment site and the council hope to have this in place for the 2010 growing season. The Moyes Close Site water connection was completed on 23rd February 2010.  The stand pipe is now fully operational.

East Runton Bus Shelter:  Following a request from parishioners, it is hoped to provide a bus shelter for the north side bus stop in East Runton High Street in the near future. The shelter has now been ordered and should be put in place sometime in March.  The funding application was successful.

 

Parish Archive:   The Archive committee and volunteers meet at The Reading Room, East Runton on
the third Wednesday of the month (less December), from 7.30 pm. If any one has interesting photographs, documents or other media they would like to have copied into the parish archive, please call in, or contact Councillor Ray Spinks or the Parish Clerk (details above).
